WORKS OF ART FOR A MAJOR PROJECT –
JILL WÄBER
An exhibition weekend for Leipzig
What a wonderful surprise: Jill Wäber, a Basel-based fine artist from Scotland, has launched a fundraising event for the guest performance of the St. Mark Passion at the Bachfest Leipzig 2027.
We would like to cordially invite you to join us for this event: on Saturday, October 31, 2026, and on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Jill Wäber and Nikolaus Matthes will be guests at the ‘Doppellabor’ in the former Pharmaceutical Institute of the University of Basel.
The exhibition is intended to support the guest performance of the St. Mark Passion at the Bachfest Leipzig 2027. Small-format paintings, sketches and postcards by Jill Wäber will be on display and available for purchase, as will the CD of the St. Mark Passion. There will also be a listening station for the CD and a donation box. One hundred per cent of the proceeds from the sales and donations will go towards the Leipzig guest performance – directly, with no deductions and no fees.
We’ll both be present throughout the whole exhibition. The entrance is free. Do come and see us – we look forward to seeing you!
Warm regards,
Jill Wäber and Nikolaus Matthes
