WORKS OF ART FOR A MAJOR PROJECT – JILL WÄBER
Exhibition weekends for Leipzig
We would like to express our very, very sincere thanks to everyone involved: Jill Wäber’s exhibition in the ‘Doppellabor’ at the former Pharmaceutical Institute of the University of Basel was indeed a resounding success! Numerous works of art were sold, and we received many donations. Lots of our visitors were able to listen to the CD of the St. Mark Passion for the first time and bought a copy straight away. We had many lovely, in-depth conversations. So far, a total of CHF 22’693.00 was raised to support the Guest performance of the St. Mark Passion at the Bachfest Leipzig 2027.
Jill Wäber’s fundraising initiative thus holds the record for the highest amount raised by any of our donors to date for this guest performance: a success on which we would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to the initiator, together with our deepest thanks for her commitment!
We do not wish to downplay the donations and contributions we have received so far; on the contrary, we hope that Jill Wäber’s initiative will serve as an incentive for all those who would like to help reduce our remaining deficit to zero.
Success is a real motivator: Jill Wäber will once again be exhibiting and selling her works in her own atelier at the Ziegelei Oberwil BL on Saturday, November 7, 2026 – from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm – to support our guest performance of the St Mark Passion at the Bachfest Leipzig 2027 even further.
We would like to thank Jill and her family from the bottom of our hearts for their hard work and dedication, and for all their support.
Admission to the follow-up exhibition is also free. Jill Wäber looks forward to seeing you there!
Warm regards,
Jill Wäber and Nikolaus Matthes
